General chemistry
The subject " General chemistry" considers the distribution, structure, physical and chemical properties of chemical elements in nature, methods of production, application.The discovery of the periodic law and the creation of the periodic table of chemical elements marked the beginning of a new stage in the development of science, that is, opened the way for the study of atomic structure. This, in turn, allows you to deeply determine the nature of the features and relationships of the elements and explain the laws of the periodic table.
When considering the structure and properties of a chemical element, the main characteristic of the atom is the nuclear charge, which corresponds to the sequence number of the element, and the properties of the elements depend on the number of electrons at the outer level.The periodic law discovered by Mendeleev is of great scientific and philosophical significance not only for the study of chemical elements, but for all natural sciences.
The purpose of the discipline
To form students' general understanding of chemistry and to teach them to read the most important sections of modern chemistry; Quantum-mechanical theory of atomic structure, elements of chemical thermodynamics, chemical bond theory, solution theory, basics of electrochemistry, elemental chemistry, the main sources of environmental pollution and the important role of chemistry in environmental protection. The purpose of the course "Inorganic Chemistry" is to teach students Formation of knowledge about the properties of chemical elements and their relationships, based on Mendeleev's periodic law, modern views on the structure of matter.
The main task
The main task of the discipline is to provide students with knowledge of chemistry; deeper mastery; development of students' thinking in chemistry; to teach students to conduct chemical experiments, to use the basic laws of chemistry to explain the possibilities of chemical processes. In the course "Inorganic Chemistry" students gain an understanding of the development of modern inorganic chemistry and the essence of chemical technology by considering the elements of all groups in the periodic table and their compounds.
